Sorry would have to disagree with this one, as the Great Richard Walker once said the biggest fish of all is a big Perch, but a very special Roach though all the same. In fact a fish of a lifetime....

Cheers guys for the comments I went back out yesterday for a few hours, fished a different area as the lake was still part frozen and managed to winkle another roach at 1lb 8oz so in all the xmas...

Heard a rumor today that the chub record has gone to a 10lb + fish from a river. Is there any truth in it All the best Eddy

Was it supposedly from the Wye at Ross, Eddie ? That's what I heard on the 'vine. No doubt it swims about with that 15lb barbel from there a couple of years back.
